Definitive countervailing duties on solar glass originating in China are repealed.Europa The repeal covers tempered soda-lime flat glass with an iron content below 300 ppm, solar transmittance above 88 % measured over AM1,5 300–2 500 nm, heat resistance up to 250 °C, thermal shock resistance of Δ 150 K and mechanical strength of 90 N/mm2 or more, currently classified under CN code ex 7007 19 80 with TARIC codes 7007 19 80 12, 7007 19 80 18, 7007 19 80 80 and 7007 19 80 85. The proceeding concerning these imports is terminated.
The definitive anti-dumping duty on the same Chinese solar glass is repealed on the same product terms.Europa Both repeals remove the duties imposed under the 2014 measures as extended in 2020, and both terminate the expiry-review proceedings. The stated reason is the absence of a Union interest justifying continuation, in particular the absence of an active Union industry.
Duties collected on the repealed solar-glass measures from the date of initiation of the expiry-review investigations on goods that were customs-cleared are repayable.Europa Repayment requires a request to the national customs authorities and is granted under the Union customs legislation on repayment and remission of duty, without interest paid by the customs authorities. In Finland the request goes to Tullin oikaisu.
A definitive anti-dumping duty of 15,8 % continues on certain heavyweight thermal paper originating in South Korea.Europa The product is thermal paper weighing more than 65 g/m2, sold on jumbo rolls of at least 20 cm width, at least 50 kg weight including paper and at least 40 cm diameter, with or without a base coat on one or both sides, coated with a thermo-sensitive substance on one or both sides, with or without a top coat. It currently falls under CN codes ex 4809 90 00, ex 4811 59 00 and ex 4811 90 00 with TARIC codes 4809 90 00 20, 4811 59 00 20 and 4811 90 00 20. The rate applies to the net, free-at-Union-frontier price before duty, and the provisions in force concerning customs duties apply unless otherwise specified.
The Indian ceramic-tile producer Varmora Granito Private Limited has become Varmora Granito Limited.Europa The TARIC additional code A013 previously attributed to the old name applies to the new name, with effect from 14 May 2025, the date the change was registered. The applicable anti-dumping duty rate for the company is unchanged, and any definitive duty paid on products manufactured by the renamed company in excess of that rate is repaid or remitted under the applicable customs legislation.
Importers and declarants should update duty and TARIC tables for the repealed solar-glass codes, keep the 15,8 % Korean thermal-paper duty in declarations with correct origin and classification, use Varmora Granito Limited with additional code A013 for qualifying Indian tiles, and review entries cleared since the solar-glass review investigations began for repayment claims. Legal basis: Commission Implementing Regulations (EU) 2026/2310 Article 1, 2026/2314 Article 1, 2026/2311 Article 1 and 2026/2319 Articles 1–2.
Review solar-glass entries cleared since the expiry-review investigations began and file repayment requests with Tullin oikaisu; keep applying the 15,8 % duty to Korean thermal paper and code A013 to Varmora Granito Limited tiles.
