Individual investors claiming income-tax relief for subscriptions to fonds d'investissement de proximité (FIP) focused on Corsica and the overseas departments, regions and collectivities face a tighter eligibility test: the fund's assets must consist at least 70% of securities of companies operating exclusively in those territoriesService Public, and that quota must be fully met within 48 months

Service Public.
The 30% reduction rate is unchangedService Public, but its scope narrows. Previously the threshold stood at 48%
Service Public. Only subscriptions to FIP whose assets meet the 70% test qualify
Service Public, and only for payments made from 22 October 2026
Service Public. The companies whose securities count must carry on their activities exclusively in establishments in Corsica or exclusively in establishments in the overseas territories covered — the departments and regions under Article 73 of the Constitution, Saint-Barthélemy, Saint-Martin, Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon, New Caledonia, French Polynesia and Wallis-et-Futuna
Impots. The fund must hold the quota in securities, limited-liability company shares and shareholder advances issued by those companies.
The 48-month period runs to the last day of the forty-eighth month following closure of the subscription period fixed in the fund prospectusImpots, which itself cannot run more than fourteen months from the fund's formation. Failure by the management company to meet the subscription and investment timetables carries a fine equal to 20% of the investments needed to reach the quota
Impots, limited to the management fees due for the year of the breach.
A separate timing trap applies to solidarity subscriptions. Subscriptions in cash to an entreprise solidaire d'utilité sociale (ESUS) or a société foncière solidaire (SFS) carry the increased 25% rate for payments made between 28 June 2024 and 30 September 2026Service Public and again for payments made between 22 October 2026 and 31 December 2027
Service Public. Payments falling between 1 October and 21 October 2026 fall back to the standard 18% rate
Service Public.
The usual IR-PME limits continue to apply. Payments taken into account are capped at EUR 50,000 a year for a single, widowed or divorced personService Public and EUR 100,000 a year for a married couple or civil partners taxed jointly
Service Public, with any excess carried over the next four years within the same limits
Service Public. The resulting reduction then counts toward the EUR 10,000-a-year overall ceiling on income-tax advantages
Service Public, with any excess carried forward against income tax for up to the fifth following year.
Claimants must be individuals domiciled in France for tax purposesImpots and must undertake to keep the units received for five years
Service Public. They attach to the annual income-tax return an individual statement supplied by the company showing the purpose, identity, number, amount and date of the units and payments, and confirming eligibility
Service Public. The reduction is recaptured if the company repays the contribution before 31 December of the seventh year following subscription, or if the subscriber sells all or part of the units before 31 December of the fifth year
Service Public, unless the units were kept at least three years and the full net sale price is reinvested in eligible new units within twelve months and kept until the end of the initial five-year period
Service Public.
The rules sit in Article 199 terdecies-0 A of the code général des impôts, in the version stemming from Article 22 of Loi n° 2026-103 du 19 février 2026 de finances pour 2026, with application to payments from 22 October 2026 as set out in the official guidance and entry into force governed by Décret n° 2026-968 du 20 octobre 2026.
Check the subscription date on any FIP Corse or overseas file and only count payments from 22 October 2026 where the fund meets the 70% quota, diary the 48-month quota deadline, and warn ESUS clients paying between 1 and 21 October 2026 that the 18% rate applies.
