Danish businesses that work with the EU Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism have a new access level to allocate.Toldst A CBAM-klarerer, informationsansvarlig, læseadgang role
Toldst in CBAM-registeret gives the holder access to see importdata and indlejrede emissioner in the register's Data Reconciliation for Monitoring and Control modul (DRMC).
Toldst The access is read-only
Toldst: the holder can inspect the reconciled import and emissions view
Toldst, but cannot edit or submit data
Toldst.
The new access level sits alongside four existing CBAM-registeret levels. A CBAM Deklarant holds rights to indberette emissionsdata. A CBAM-klarerer, læseadgang may read information in CBAM-registeret without any right to edit or submit. A CBAM-klarerer, redigeringsrettigheder may read and edit without submitting. A CBAM-klarerer, indsendelsesrettigheder may read, edit and submit. The informationsansvarlig variant is the only one whose remit is defined by reference to the DRMC modulToldst, and it is the route for a person who needs the reconciliation view without any wider editing power
Toldst.
Allocation runs through the employer's MitID-administrator in TastSelv Erhverv.Toldst The administrator logs on as MitID-brugeradministrator, opens Profil- og kontaktoplysninger, then Rettigheder til TastSelv and Gruppér rettigheder (roller), creates or edits a role for the company's own CVR-nummer, selects Domæne (Told), adds the CBAM-registeret right, saves, then attaches the employee under Medarbejdere. The employee logs on with MitID Erhverv. Access is available within half an hour. The company must hold an EORI-nummer before anyone can log on to CBAM-registeret
Toldst, and when logging on to use the register the user selects Told, not Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism, under Domæne
Toldst.
External advisers are handled as employees for this register. A representative such as a revisor, advokat or rådgiver is given the relevant CBAM-registeret right as if employed by the company, because CBAM-registeret does not support access through Revisorordning.Toldst Where another business acts as indirekte toldrepræsentant, that business must be named as indirekte toldrepræsentant on the customs declarations for the CBAM-covered goods
Toldst and accesses CBAM-registeret with its own EORI-nummer
Toldst, since it declares on behalf of the importer but in its own name
Toldst.
The read-only DRMC view matters for the annual cycle that now applies. From 1 January 2026 covered businesses report annuallyToldst, with the first annual report in 2027
Toldst covering imports of CBAM-varer in 2026
Toldst; imports in the period 1 October 2023 to 31 December 2025 were reported quarterly, with late or corrected reports for that period still possible in 2026
Toldst. A business that annually imports in total 50 tonnes or more of iron, steel, aluminium, cement and fertiliser groups must be approved as CBAM-klarerer by Erhvervsstyrelsen
Toldst, as must any importer of electricity or hydrogen regardless of quantity
Toldst, with the application made through CBAM-registeret by a user holding CBAM-klarerer, indsendelsesrettigheder
Toldst.
The roles operate under Toldstyrelsen's Tildel roller og rettigheder and Log ind i CBAM-registeret.
Ask your MitID-administrator to assign the CBAM-klarerer, informationsansvarlig, læseadgang role in TastSelv Erhverv to staff who need the DRMC reconciliation view.
