Dropbox
Cloud file storage and sharing
Overview
Connect your Dropbox so the Taxxa assistant can find and read your documents, such as receipts, statements and reports, while you work. Taxxa asks Dropbox for read access only. The connection is personal: other members of your workspace, including admins, cannot use it.
What Taxxa can access
- See your basic Dropbox account information.
- Browse and search your files and folders and see their names, sizes, dates and revisions.
- Open and download file contents so the assistant can read them.
- Taxxa does not ask for permission to upload, move, share or delete anything in your Dropbox.
Before you connect
- A Dropbox account (Basic, Plus, Essentials, Business or similar).
- If you have both a personal and a work Dropbox account, know which one holds the files you need.
How to connect
- In Taxxa, open Connectors and search for Dropbox.
- Click Connect.
- Sign in to Dropbox and, if asked, choose the account to connect.
- Review the access Dropbox lists and click "Allow".
- Back in Taxxa you see "Dropbox connected."
Troubleshooting
- The assistant cannot upload, move or delete Dropbox files.
- This is expected. Taxxa only has read access to Dropbox. Make the change in Dropbox yourself.
- Files you expect are missing.
- Taxxa sees only what the connected Dropbox account can see. Check that you connected the right account (personal or work) and that the folder is shared with you. To switch accounts, disconnect Dropbox in Taxxa and connect again.
Disconnect
