Fortnox
Swedish accounting, invoicing and payroll
Overview
Connect a client's Fortnox company so Taxxa can work with its books. You can ask questions about the ledger, invoices and suppliers, and use the data in your analyses. You choose which Fortnox modules Taxxa may use for each client.
What Taxxa can access
- Company details, always.
- Only the modules you tick when you connect: Accounting, Invoicing, Orders and quotes, Payroll, Fixed assets, Time reporting and Warehouse.
- Accounting covers vouchers, accounts and financial years, suppliers, supplier invoices, cost centres, projects and currencies. Invoicing covers customer invoices, customers, products, prices and payments.
- Fortnox grants read and write access per module. Taxxa uses it mainly to read your books.
- Changes in Fortnox, such as creating an invoice or a voucher, need your approval in Taxxa by default. Workspace admins set these rules under Action permissions.
Before you connect
- A Fortnox subscription with an active "Integrationslicens" (integration licence).
- You sign in to Fortnox as a system administrator ("systemadministratör") of the company.
- The company has the Fortnox licence for each module you choose, for example "Bokföring" for Accounting, "Order" or "Kundfaktura" for Invoicing, "Lön" for Payroll and "Anläggningsregister" for Fixed assets. Your Fortnox user also needs rights to those modules.
- Accountants: you can connect a client through Digital byrå.
How to connect
- In Taxxa, open Connectors, find Fortnox and click Connect.
- Choose the client. If the client is not in Taxxa yet, click Create a client first.
- Tick the Fortnox modules this client has and that you can access. If you tick none, Taxxa asks only for company details. You can add modules later.
- Click Connect. A Fortnox sign-in window opens.
- Sign in to Fortnox. Accountants: sign in through Digital byrå and open the same client in Fortnox.
- Review the permissions and click "Godkänn behörigheter" (approve permissions).
- You return to Taxxa and see Connection ready.
Troubleshooting
- Fortnox says you are not a system administrator.
- Ask the company's system administrator in Fortnox to connect Taxxa, or to make you a system administrator. Then connect again.
- Fortnox says the company is missing a licence, or refuses the requested permissions.
- Connect again and tick only the modules the company has a licence for and that your user can access. If the integration licence is missing, order "Integrationslicens" in Fortnox first.
- Taxxa cannot see payroll, fixed assets or another area.
- That module was not chosen when you connected. In Taxxa, open the connection, choose Manage modules, tick the module and approve again in Fortnox.
- Taxxa shows the wrong company's books.
- Disconnect in Taxxa → Connectors. Connect again and make sure you open the right client in Fortnox before you approve.
Disconnect
In Fortnox, open "Mina integrationer" from the main menu and deactivate Taxxa from the menu on its card. You can also disconnect in Taxxa → Connectors.
