Netvisor
Finnish cloud accounting, invoicing and payroll from Visma
Overview
Connect Netvisor so Taxxa can read a client's books directly from Netvisor. You can then ask questions about the ledger, sales, purchases and balances in Taxxa without exporting reports. You connect with an API identifier that you create for yourself in Netvisor.
What Taxxa can access
- Bookkeeping: chart of accounts, accounting periods, vouchers with their lines, account balances and dimensions.
- Sales: sales invoices, sales orders, customers, products and incoming payments.
- Purchases: purchase invoices, purchase orders, vendors and outgoing payments.
- Payroll and stock data only if the company uses those Netvisor modules and you have the rights to them.
- Taxxa can only reach the interface resources you allow in Netvisor. Everything Taxxa does is recorded in Netvisor under the user who created the API identifier.
- Taxxa can also prepare changes, such as a new voucher or customer. By default it asks you to approve each change before it is sent to Netvisor. You can change this per connector in Taxxa.
Before you connect
- Your own Netvisor login to the company you want to connect, with edit rights to at least one function in your user profile («Käyttöprofiili»). API identifiers are personal: you can only create them for yourself.
- User administrator (KH) or accounting office main user (TPK) rights in Netvisor to allow the interface resources Taxxa uses. If you do not have them, ask a colleague who does.
- The company's Business ID (Y-tunnus).
- API identifiers cost nothing extra. Reading data through the interface is included in your Netvisor monthly price. Netvisor charges separately only for some imports, such as purchase invoice and attachment voucher imports.
How to connect
- In Netvisor, open the company you want to connect and go to «Yritysvalikko > Ohjelmistorajapintatunnukset» (Company menu > API identifiers).
- Click «Luo uusi rajapintatunnus» (Create new API identifier). The new identifier appears first in the list. Copy its «Käyttäjätunniste» (User ID) and «Avain» (Key).
- Go to «Yritysvalikko > Rajapintaresurssien käyttöoikeudet» (API resource access rights). If Taxxa is listed under «Valmiit integraatiot» (Finished integrations), select it and allow its resources there. Otherwise allow them under «Yleiset käyttöoikeudet» (General access rights). Allow at least the bookkeeping, sales and purchase resources.
- In Taxxa, open Connectors, choose the client company and select Netvisor.
- Select Connect. Fill in Customer ID, Organisation ID, Interface language and Customer key.
- Select Connect to save. Taxxa checks the details by reading the company's accounting periods. Repeat for each company you want to connect.
Where to find your details
- Customer ID
- The «Käyttäjätunniste» (User ID) of the API identifier you created in Netvisor under «Yritysvalikko > Ohjelmistorajapintatunnukset» with «Luo uusi rajapintatunnus». It is a long code followed by an underscore and a number, for example XXXXXXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXXXXXXXXX_12345. Do not use an identifier whose «Käyttötarkoitus» (Purpose) is the Netvisor mobile app.
- Customer key
- The «Avain» (Key) on the same row as the User ID in «Yritysvalikko > Ohjelmistorajapintatunnukset». Copy the whole key and treat it like a password: anything sent with it is recorded in Netvisor under your user.
- Organisation ID
- The Finnish Business ID (Y-tunnus) of the company you created the API identifier in, with the dash, for example 1234567-8. If you do not have it at hand, look the company up in the Finnish business register at ytj.fi.
Troubleshooting
- Taxxa cannot verify the connection, or Netvisor reports missing permissions.
- Open «Yritysvalikko > Rajapintaresurssien käyttöoikeudet» and allow the resources Taxxa reads. Taxxa first reads the accounting periods, so that bookkeeping resource must be «Sallittu» (Allowed). If Taxxa is listed under «Valmiit integraatiot», set the rights there: rights given to a specific integration override the general rights, and anything not allowed there stays blocked.
- You cannot change the resource rights, or your profile shows «Ei oikeutta» (No rights).
- Editing interface resource rights needs user administrator (KH) or accounting office main user (TPK) rights. Ask a colleague with those rights to allow the resources. Your API identifier itself still works.
- Taxxa does not accept the Organisation ID.
- Enter the Business ID in the format 1234567-8, with the dash. Use the Business ID of the same company you created the API identifier in.
- The connection stopped working.
- Netvisor API identifiers stop working when the user who created them is removed from the company, loses their rights, or their validity period ends, or when the identifier is deactivated. A user with access to the company creates a new identifier, and then you reconnect Netvisor in Taxxa with the new User ID and Key.
Disconnect
In Netvisor, go to «Yritysvalikko > Ohjelmistorajapintatunnukset» and click the X in the «Poista rajapintatunnus käytöstä» (Deactivate API identifier) column for the identifier you gave Taxxa. Deactivation is permanent. You can also disconnect Netvisor in Taxxa under Connectors.
