Company tax settlements now start in late August

Skatteetaten’s updated timetable runs from late August to late November for private limited companies.

Skatteetaten’s timetable for private limited companies now says tax settlements are issued continuously from late August to late November. The previous guidance said the period started in early October. The change concerns when settlements are sent, rather than a newly stated tax-payment deadline.SkatteetatenSkatteetaten

The agency cannot give an individual settlement date through its tax offices, chat or telephone service. Returns are processed continuously and settlements are sent when ready. A company is notified by email when its settlement is available, using the address registered in the company’s Altinn contact information.Skatteetaten

Finance teams should monitor that mailbox and review the settlement when notified. The timetable is specifically for aksjeselskap; the page separately explains that entities assessed through their participants receive an allocation letter rather than a company tax settlement.Skatteetaten

Check the company’s Altinn email contact and review its tax settlement when the notification arrives.
