Part-time teachers covered by the arbejdsmarkedsuddannelser agreement will have the threshold for additional teaching compensation calculated according to their employment fraction. The change starts on 1 August 2026 for institutions whose working-time reference period follows the school yearRetsinformation, or 1 January 2027 where it follows the calendar year

The existing full-time provision pays compensation when weekly teaching exceeds 30.9 clock hours. The amount is DKK 73.40 for each hour above that threshold, expressed at the 31 March 2012 base level. The new clause adds proportionate thresholds for part-time employees.Retsinformation Applying it therefore requires the institution to use the employee’s employment fraction alongside the weekly teaching hours and the appropriate reference-period start date.
The agreement covers teachers at vocational-education institutions employed principally to teach in or in connection with labour-market training programmes. The commentary explains that principally means more than half of working time in the specified activities. It also allows covered teachers to undertake other teaching within the institution’s functions where the school considers their qualifications sufficient. The change should therefore be applied through the agreement’s actual coverage rather than to every part-time teacher indiscriminately.
The salary framework combines base salary with centrally and locally agreed allowances. It separately provides pension contributions of 18.0% of pensionable salary components, paid to Lærernes Pension. The employer pays the contribution, with one third treated as the employee’s own share and shown on the payslip. Contributions also cover part-time employees’ payment for service above their reduced working-time norm but within the full-time norm.
The circular enters into force on 27 August 2026 and the attached agreement has effect from 1 April 2026. A new agreement for vocational-education teachers is due to replace this agreement on 1 April 2027. The distinct dates for proportionate teaching thresholds apply before that replacement.
The contractual basis is the circular of 27 August 2026 and the attached organisationsaftale for lærere ved arbejdsmarkedsuddannelserne mv., particularly sections 1, 11–13 and the new part-time clause in section 12.
Apply proportionate part-time teaching thresholds from the relevant norm-period start and keep the compensation’s 2012 base level distinct from current pay.
