Dental hygienists in pay group 1 under the Danish state occupational agreement receive a higher annual base salary from 1 April 2027Retsinformation. The agreement raises the amount from DKK 284,881 to DKK 290,306
Retsinformation. Both figures are annual base amounts at the 31 March 2012 level, rather than figures stated at a current adjusted pay level.
Pay group 1 comprises dental hygienists who are not placed in group 2. Group 2 covers employees hired for specialised treatment tasks or specialised research-related tasks, and its annual base salary is DKK 312,900 at the same base level. The agreement combines base salary with locally agreed function and qualification supplements, one-off remuneration and performance pay. Part-time staff receive proportionate pay.
Coverage is limited to dental hygienists employed at state workplaces and self-governing institutions where the Ministry of Finance can determine pay and employment conditions, and where a dental-hygienist qualification is a condition of appointment. Staff covered by the separate agreement for teaching assistants at SKT and the Department of Dentistry and Oral Health are excluded.
The agreement specifies that overtime pay per hour is calculated as 1/1924 of total fixed salary, excluding any availability or additional-work supplement. Dental hygienists hired as holiday or sickness replacements, or for other temporary work, may be paid hourly where they are not comparable to a full-time or indefinite employee or where objective circumstances justify it. Their hourly rate is 1/1924 of annual salary. They move to monthly-paid employment no later than after three months of uninterrupted service with the same appointing authority.
Pension contributions follow the LC/CO10 common agreement and are paid to PFA Pension. The occupational agreement itself has effect from 1 April 2026; the circular took effect on 28 August 2026. The later group 1 salary increase has its own date of 1 April 2027.
The legal basis is the circular of 28 August 2026 and its attached occupational agreement for state dental hygienists of 27 August 2026, particularly sections 1–4 and 7–8.
