Poultrymeat import licences: apply 1-7 October 2026

Poultrymeat importers can submit quota licence applications under Notice to Traders 78/26 between 1 October 2026 and 5pm on 7 October 2026GOV. Applicants bear responsibility for checking that the application and all additional documentation are correct at the time of submissionGOV.

The poultrymeat quota runs in application rounds through the year, each round opening a short window under the same applicant-responsibility rule: the January 2026 round, Notice to Traders 107/25, opened applications between 1 January 2026 and 5pm on 7 January 2026; the June 2026 round, Notice to Traders 43/26, opened applications between 1 June 2026 and 5pm on 5 June 2026; and the August 2026 round, Notice to Traders 60/26, opened applications between 1 August 2026 and 5pm on 7 August 2026. The pattern across these rounds is consistent: an application window opening on the first of the month with a 5pm cut-off several days later, an Annex 1 table carrying the quota detail for the round, and the applicant carrying responsibility for correctness of the application and all additional documentation at submission. The October 2026 notice itself carries only the window and the applicant-responsibility rule, so traders should check the October notice itself, including its Annex quantities and any round-specific conditions, before applying. An application lodged after 5pm on 7 October 2026 falls outside the window the notice opens, so late paperwork cannot secure quota under this roundGOV.
