PRH moves company-data watchdog online; login rules set
PRH replaces the paper-form Ilmoitusvahti order with online subscription; only a registered responsible person with a Finnish ID and Suomi.fi login can subscribe.

Finnish companies can now subscribe to PRH's Ilmoitusvahti monitoring service online instead of ordering it on a paper formPRH, and the revised guidance sets out who can subscribe and how. The change matters to board members, managing directors and partners who want alerts about filings made in their company's name — a front-line defence against register fraud.
The default route is unchanged: report the company's email address to the Trade Register (kaupparekisteri) via the YTJ service — free of chargePRH — and PRH emails the company when a change notification is filed, provided the address is registered and functional
PRH. Note that the registered email address is public information, visible in the YTJ company search and other company-information services.
The alternative for those who do not want to register a company email address is Ilmoitusvahti in PRH's Virre servicePRH. The paper-form order is gone
PRH; subscription is now done online. Eligibility is explicit: only a person registered in the Trade Register as the company's responsible person (vastuuhenkilö) — for example a board member, managing director or partner (yhtiömies) — can subscribe
PRH. The steps are: log in to Ilmoitusvahti, select the company whose notifications you want to follow, add the email address or addresses for the alerts, save and log out. Logging in requires a Finnish personal identity code (henkilötunnus) and one of the Finnish identification methods offered by Suomi.fi identification, such as personal online banking codes or a mobile certificate (mobiilivarmenne)
PRH. The service suits companies with no registered email address, or responsible persons who want the alerts to a personal inbox — multiple addresses can be added.
When an alert arrives, the recipient checks the filing's exact details in the Virre service. If the details suggest someone filed in the company's name without authorisation, the guidance says to contact the Trade Register advisory service (kaupparekisterin neuvonta) immediately. The page also points to PRH's anti-fraud material and to the instructions for checking one's own registered personal data, now expressly including one's current responsible-person roles in companies.

If you are a registered responsible person for a Finnish company, either register the company email address via YTJ or subscribe to Ilmoitusvahti in Virre with your Suomi.fi login so you are alerted to filings made in the company name.
