Finnish Customs (Tulli) has changed one code in its guidance on correcting export declarations. When the goods have left Finland and are no longer available for Customs inspection, so a faulty declaration cannot be corrected and a new replacement export declaration must be lodged, the location of the new declaration is still given as place designated by Customs (code A) with the location qualifier V, customs office code — but the code to enter is now FI002000 (Tulliselvityskeskus, the Customs Clearance Centre)Tulli instead of the previous version's FI002002 (Sähköinen palvelukeskus vienti)

The surrounding procedure is unchanged. A declarant or representative named on the export declaration may request correction electronically; once Customs has released the goods for the export procedure, errors can no longer be corrected but must go through the correction procedure. A correction request must be submitted as soon as the error is noticed, and in special situations it may also be requested in writing via the Customs registry. A correction may also be requested after the goods have left the EU customs territory, with restrictions mainly concerning re-export declarations, and no later than three years from the moment Customs accepted the declaration being corrected for the procedure; Finnish Customs corrects only Finnish export declarations, that is declarations lodged for goods placed under the export procedure in Finland. The correction request must also state the location of the goods, the place in Finland where they can be inspected, or, if the goods are not in Finland, the same location details as in the original declaration. Where the goods have already left, the replacement declaration also carries the additional-information codes FIXFZ (replacement declaration, with the original MRN), FIXSE (reason for the replacement), FIXKI (actual export date of the replacement) and FICON (request for contact by a Customs handler). If the goods are still in Finland, a new standard replacement export declaration (type A) is lodged instead, and Customs invalidates the original once the new one is processed.
Customs declarants, exporters and their agents filing replacement export declarations for goods that have already left Finland must enter FI002000 from now onTulli.
