Auditors working on public-sector engagements get a new reason to open the invitation to the joint conference of the National Audit Office (Valstybės kontrolė, VK) and the Lithuanian Chamber of Auditors (Lietuvos auditorių rūmai, LAR)LAR on 12 November 2026
LAR: the programme now centres on group audits in the public sector
LAR, under the title "Grupės auditas viešajame sektoriuje: pokyčiai ir gairės sklandžiam bendradarbiavimui". The event brings together the Finance Ministry, municipal control and audit services, independent auditors and audited entities to prepare jointly for the 2026 reporting and audit changes.
The conference runs 9:30–13:30LAR in hybrid form. On-site seats are in the Panorama hall (IV floor, Kudirkos g. 15, Vilnius), with an identity document required on arrival; remote participation moved from Zoom to the MS Teams platform
LAR. Registration is mandatory
LAR and runs until 10 November or until seats fill
LAR — places in the auditorium are limited and only pre-registered participants will be admitted. The remote join link goes to the email given at registration on 11 November
LAR, one day later than previously announced. Attendance is free.
The agenda opens with registration and joining the stream (9:30–10:00) and opening remarks from the VK and LAR representatives (10:00–10:15). Finance Ministry speakers then cover new requirements and accounting aspects of data submission into VSAKIS by profit-seeking companies owned by the state and municipalities (10:15–10:45), followed by new legal expectations for the financial-statement audit (10:45–11:00). The core session (11:00–11:45) has VK representatives presenting the methodological requirements for group audits in its financial audits of the national reporting package and the state reporting package, with guidance on the audit process, cooperation with component auditors and lessons from earlier audit practice. After the break (11:45–12:00), LAR representatives give the independent auditor's view on preparing for the audit process (12:00–12:45), and all speakers join the discussion and Q&A (12:45–13:30). Participants are invited to submit questions for the speakers in advance, in the registration window or by email to ausra.kancleriene@lar.lt.
The event is aimed particularly at auditors of public-sector entities: attending auditors earn 4 academic hours toward the 2026 auditor course hours (Part I)LAR. The remote-registration form now lists LAR members as "auditoriai/auditorių padėjėjai", so auditor assistants register in the member category alongside auditors; the other categories are the Finance Ministry / AVNT, municipal controllers, audited entities and others.
Both pages now carry a personal-data-processing notice. The VK and LAR process the submitted data (name, surname, position, email address) for organising the 12 November 2026 joint conference and administering registration; data is kept no longer than one month after the event and destroyed when the retention period ends, or deleted immediately if participation is cancelled. The conference will be photographed and filmed to publicise the organisers' work, so participants may appear in published photos and videos. Processing follows Regulation (EU) 2016/679, with details on the VK website and in the LAR's personal-data-processing rules; LAR member data is kept under those rules.
Legal basis: the conference is organised by Valstybės kontrolė and Lietuvos auditorių rūmaiLAR; personal-data processing follows Bendrasis duomenų apsaugos reglamentas (ES) 2016/679 and the organisers' published data-protection rules.
Register by 10 November (auditor assistants use the LAR member category) and watch for the Teams link on 11 November.
