Industry: Across industries
Businesses holding a valid establishment authorisation can obtain co-financing for an external diagnostic of their artificial-intelligence readiness, cybersecurity maturity, digital maturity, operational performance or environmental footprint through the five Fit 4 programmes. The schemes are run by Luxinnovation with the support of the Ministry of the Economy and pay part of the fees of a referenced consultantPublic, who diagnoses the company's position and prepares its next steps. Only companies with their registered office in Luxembourg that carry on an economic activity as their principal activity qualify
Public
Public, and the three conditions apply cumulatively
Public.
Each programme has a defined scope: Fit 4 AI identifies and prioritises relevant artificial-intelligence use cases and assesses their feasibility, costs, benefits and applicable governance and compliance conditions; Fit 4 Cybersecurity assesses cybersecurity maturity, identifies vulnerabilities and defines the corrective measures. Fit 4 Digital assesses digital maturity and prepares transformation projects; Fit 4 Performance diagnoses operational performance across strategy, processes, governance and resources; Fit 4 Sustainability analyses the environmental impacts of the core activity, covering decarbonisation, energy, water and circularity.
The ordering of the application matters. Interested companies must, in a first step, contact Luxinnovation in order to identify the programme that best corresponds to their needs, choose a referenced consultant and prepare their aid request. The aid request must be filed before any legally binding commitment towards the consultantPublic, so the quote must remain unsigned at that stage. Two programmes add a mandatory preparatory step: a Cybercheck "light" before Fit 4 Cybersecurity
Public and a Light Digital Maturity Assessment before Fit 4 Digital
Public. Luxinnovation accompanies the company, pre-checks eligibility and files the aid request on MyGuichet.lu in the company's name under a power of attorney
Public; the file includes the company's legal organisation chart, the unsigned quote, a declaration on honour and the power of attorney
Public. The digital receipt confirms filing, and only once it is received may the company sign the quote and start the assignment
Public.
Eligible costs are the referenced consultant's fees as set in the prior quote drawn up per the chosen programme's specificationsPublic; travel and other ancillary costs are not eligible
Public, and Luxinnovation verifies the conformity of the quote with the prescriptions of the programme before the aid request is introduced. The aid takes the form of a capital grant
Public: per project it must exceed EUR 1,000
Public and cannot exceed EUR 100,000
Public. The maximum aid intensity is 70% for small, 60% for medium and 50% for large enterprises under Fit 4 AI, Cybersecurity, Digital and Performance
Public, and 80%, 70% and 60% respectively under Sustainability
Public. The Ministry of the Economy notifies its decision within two months of receiving the complete file
Public; the grant decision states the amount awarded and the cost eligibility period.
The referenced consultant carries out the diagnostic within six monthsPublic. At the end of the assignment the consultant presents the results and delivers a report with concrete, prioritised recommendations adapted to the company's situation, together with a costed action plan. Implementing those recommendations is not part of the Fit 4 assignment; the company remains free to carry out all or part of them. Once the assignment has been performed and paid for, the company submits its payment claim online via MyGuichet.lu
