Norsk Journalistlag has corrected the published Journalistavtalen for etermedier (MBL), NHO agreement 484. In the § 9 minimum-wage table, the annual “After 4 years” rate is NOK 546 000, replacing NOK 546 100 in the previous version. The other scale rates are unchanged.NJNJ

The corrected minimum applies from 1 April 2026. The agreement covers employed editorial staff performing the relevant journalistic, photojournalistic and production-journalistic work. Routine stenography, message-taking, proofreading, typing and technical radio or TV work are excluded. The rates are floors: personal supplements must reflect skills, education, experience and responsibilities, and personal pay must be reviewed annually by 31 December. Section 6 protects more favourable pay and working conditions, so pay already set at NOK 546 100 remains above the corrected minimum.NJ

Under § 45, wage increases and changes to social provisions do not apply to employees who left before the settlement’s adoption on 30 April 2026. There is no recalculation or back-payment of overtime, shift or similar supplements for work before adoption. The agreement runs to 31 March 2028 and then continues yearly unless terminated in writing with two months’ notice.NJ

Check the electronic media agreement’s corrected four-year minimum of NOK 546 000 in payroll, retaining personal supplements and any more favourable agreed pay.
