Svenskforfattningssamling.
The amended Section 5 restates Lantmäteriet's duties, now in fourteen points. Alongside the standing responsibilities — basic geographic and property information including the general maps, registration matters under the Land Code (jordabalken), cadastral procedures (förrättningar), the mortgage certificate system and apartment register, the national geodetic reference networks, supervision of the municipal cadastral authorities, and meeting the Armed Forces' needs for geographic and property information — two points are newGOV. Point 12 obliges Lantmäteriet to supply technical support under the new ordinance on case-management systems and other processing support at cadastral authorities (förordningen (2026:1776) om ärendehanteringssystem och andra handläggningsstöd hos lantmäterimyndigheter) for all cadastral proceedings at the municipal authorities
Svenskforfattningssamling. Point 11 obliges it to provide training, guidance, manuals and similar support for all proceedings work at those authorities
Svenskforfattningssamling.
Section 12, on commissioned work (uppdragsverksamhet), is restated with ten permitted categories, from property schedules and archive investigations to boundary marking (gränsutvisning), joint-facility agreements under the Joint Facilities Act (anläggningslagen (1973:1149)), and surveying, calculation and mapping (MBK-verksamhet) in parts of Sweden where market solutions are lacking.
Sections 30–30c reset the fee rulesSvenskforfattningssamling. Lantmäteriet must charge for supplying basic geographic and property information, mortgage-certificate information (pantbrevsinformation, information from the mortgage certificate system and related information), training and support to the municipal authorities under Section 5 point 11, geographic information and advice to the Armed Forces under point 14, licensing of use, commissioned work, service exports, and handing out large-format documents and register-map prints. No charge is taken for information that must be free under Chapter 4, Section 4 of the open-data act (lagen (2022:818) om den offentliga sektorns tillgängliggörande av data), for register data supplied electronically to a state authority that is not a commercial agency, or for services exempt under the geographic environmental information act (lagen (2010:1767) om geografisk miljöinformation). Fees under Section 30 points 1–3 and 5 must cover Lantmäteriet's supply costs and contribute to building, operating, updating and developing the systems, databases and information — but must not cover anything Section 30a exempts. Fees for large-format documents and map prints (point 8) must equal the copying or printing cost itself. The appeal rules of the fees ordinance (avgiftsförordningen (1992:191), Sections 23–24) apply to point-8 fees. The new division of duties and the fee exemptions apply from 1 January 2027
