What sources does Taxxa search?

Taxxa searches a continuously updated collection of more than one million pages from tax authorities, government publications, legislation and case law across the European jurisdictions it covers. Every response cites the underlying material, so a professional can inspect the rule, its jurisdiction and whether it is current before relying on the result.

Can Taxxa work with a team’s own documents?

Yes. Research can combine the public knowledge base with a team’s own PDF, DOCX, CSV and TXT files in one workspace. That makes it possible to compare a client document with the relevant guidance, trace a conclusion to its source and prepare a draft without losing the evidence that supports it.

Who is Taxxa built for?

Accountants, auditors, tax advisors, payroll specialists, bookkeepers and advisory teams working across European jurisdictions. Shared workspaces keep research available to colleagues, and citations make review easier.

Where is customer data stored, and is it used to train models?

Customer data stays in the European Union and is never used to train language models.

Does Taxxa replace professional judgement?

No. Taxxa is a research and drafting workspace. It helps professionals reach an informed starting point faster; the professional still reviews the evidence and makes the final decision. It does not file returns, post bookkeeping entries or give legal advice.

The oil tanker ASTRA is no longer subject to UK Russia sanctions. On 21 September 2026Publishing the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office updated the UK Sanctions List on GOV.UK with a single revocationPublishing: the entry for 1. Ship: ASTRA (Unique ID: RUS3003) has been revoked following the official decision-making process and is no longer subject to the sanctions listed.

The revoked entry identifies the ship ASTRA (Unique ID: RUS3003; IMO numbers: IMO9273387) as an oil tanker operated by Stravax Shipping Co Ltd and currently believed to fly the flag of Vietnam, designated on 12 September 2025 under the Russia (Sanctions) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019. The sanctions it carried were shipping sanctions: a specified ship is prohibited from being provided with access to UK ports or having its master or pilot cause it to enter a UK port, its registration on the UK Ship Register may be terminated, and its master or pilot may be given port barring, detention, port entry or movement directions. Those restrictions fall away with the revocationPublishing. The UK statement of reasons recorded against the entry said the vessel was, had been or was likely to be involved in activity whose object or effect was to destabilise Ukraine or undermine or threaten its territorial integrity, sovereignty or independence, or to obtain a benefit from or support the Government of Russia — namely carrying oil or oil products that originated in Russia from Russia to a third country.

The notice restates the standing duties that continue to apply around every other entry. Anyone who knows or has reasonable cause to suspect they hold or control funds or economic resources of a designated person, or are otherwise dealing with them, must freeze them, must not deal with them or make them available to or for the benefit of the designated person unless a legislative exception applies or the Office of Financial Sanctions Implementation has granted a licence, and must report findings to OFSI. Trust services must not be provided to or for the benefit of designated persons. Failure to comply with financial sanctions legislation, or seeking to circumvent it, may be a criminal offence. Queries about implementation go to OFSI and on policy to the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office.

The listing page continues to carry the earlier Russia notices alongside the new one, including those of 11 and 10 September 2026.

Legal basis: Sanctions Notice, Russia, 21 September 2026 (the revoked entry's regime name is the Russia (Sanctions) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019); the current list of designated persons for Russia on GOV.UK.

If your sanctions screening references the ship ASTRA (RUS3003, IMO 9273387), update it to reflect the 21 September 2026 revocation of its Russia designation.
