Broadcasters open senior CVE contracts from age 57

Broadcasters and the journalists they employ get a new senior-hire contract.Legifrance Two matching accords of 17 April 2026 — one in the Convention collective nationale de la télédiffusion of 2 July 2021 (IDCC 3241), one in the Convention collective nationale des journalistes (IDCC 1480)LegifranceLegifrance — organise the branch's use of the contrat de valorisation de l'expérience (CVE), the open-ended senior contract created on an experimental 5-year basis by article 4 of loi n° 2025-989 of 24 October 2025Travail Emploi from the ANI of 14 November 2024. The télédiffusion accord applies across that branch's scopeLegifrance; the journalists' accord applies to journalist employees of télédiffusion-scope undertakingsLegifrance. Both state the ordinary CDI remains the preferred contract and the CVE must not be used to sidestep workforce-planning or senior-retention duties.

Access follows the statute, widened where the branch may widen it. The CVE is open to France Travail-registered jobseekers who cannot yet draw a full basic pension at hiringLegifrance; the branch accords lower the entry age from 60 to 57LegifranceLegifrance, as an extended branch agreement mayLegifrance. The accords add a 12-month bar on hiring in CVE anyone employed on a CDI by the same undertaking — or the same group — in the previous twelve months, and forbid using that interval to engineer exits followed by less-favourable CVE re-hires; the extension order of 23 September 2026 excludes those two paragraphs from extension as contrary to the statuteLegifrance, holding that only Parliament may set the rehire barLegifrance. At signing at the latest, the employee produces the assurance-retraite statement of the expected full-rate date, updated if the fund revises it; between the end of probation and twelve months after hiring, the employer holds an adapted career-path interview, and working conditions, skills access and end-of-career schemes are organised around the senior employee.

The distinctive term is the exit. At the date the employee stated at signing at the latest, the employer may retire the employeeLegifrance, who cannot oppose itLegifrance: from age 67, or earlier once the employee has the legal retirement age and the quarters for a full rate per the transmitted statementLegifrance. Absent an earlier termination, the employee receives the mise à la retraite indemnity of article 58.2.2 of the télédiffusion convention, or the company's if more favourableLegifrance, and the employer is exempt from the specific employer contribution on the exempted part of that indemnityLegifrance (2 PASS) until the end of the third year after the statute's promulgationLegifrance. No ordinary-CDI termination may be staged solely to re-hire the same person in CVE on worse terms. The accords run for the 5-year experimental period from publication of the statuteLegifrance and enter into force upon extensionLegifrance, with annual CPPNI monitoring; no company-size-specific stipulations were made.
