Urssaf.
Pluriactivité means an employee working foreseeably, alternately or simultaneously between France and one or more other countries — in the European Union or in Norway, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Iceland and Liechtenstein — typically combining employee and self-employed activity. The certificate records that situation and lets the employer declare the pluriactive employee's social contributions appropriately; in a posting situation the employee may continue to be covered by the French Sécurité sociale subject to conditions.
Certificates already in force keep their 12-month duréeUrssaf: only certificates issued since 8 October 2026 may run for 24 months
Urssaf. For renewal mechanics, the employer renews from the online urssaf.fr account, at the earliest 30 days before the current certificate expires and at the latest on its last day of validity, past which a fresh request is needed rather than a renewal. Renewal is available only where the employee works under conditions identical to the initial request — same employee and company details, same activity, same country of work — and any change requires a new certificate request.
The request itself runs through the employer's online account under "Travailler à l'étranger", for one employee or a group: group requests require the same establishment (same Siret), the same destination country in the European Economic Area or Switzerland, a preserved hierarchical link (contract, salary, authority) with the company, and French social-security affiliation during the 30 days before the posting starts. After checking the summary the employer signs online ("Je signe ma demande"); if accepted, a same-day notification allows downloading the certificate from the dashboard's request list, with the Mobilité internationale adviser able to ask for supplements by email or telephone where the file needs closer review. A mission may still be cancelled even before it starts, within 15 days of the certificate request, or its end date brought forward from the dashboard.
Employers apply through the Mobilité internationale service page; certificates already running keep 12 monthsUrssaf.

Employers of pluriactive staff should request new certificates through the Mobilité internationale service to get the 24-month validity, leave running 12-month certificates alone, and renew only where working conditions are unchanged.
