The 2026-2028 company agreement for Laerdal Medical A/S (Laerdaloverenskomsten, avtale 197)Styrke between Næringslivets Hovedorganisasjon with Norsk Industri and Landsorganisasjonen i Norge with Forbundet Styrke
Styrke applies from 1 June 2026 to 31 May 2028
Styrke; it was signed in Stavanger in July 2026. It covers operators in production, laboratory work, transport and storage, assembly, maintenance, the parts warehouse, cleaning, the canteen, guard duties and standby service, plus related control, inspection, facilitation and coordination, including part-time staff.
Styrke The rises take economic effect from 1 April 2026
Styrke but are not paid until the settlement is adopted
Styrke; workers who left before adoption are outside the rises, and overtime and shift supplements for work done before adoption are not recalculated.
Pay is set in the firm's own step systemStyrke: updated step rates are signed by the local parties and appended to the agreement after negotiations each year, and workers whose individual hourly pay sits above the scales keep it. Negotiations are held every year on the basis of the company's finances, productivity, outlook and competitiveness, and both sides must attend with a mandate to bargain in earnest and to accept or reject the result. Temporary workers accrue experience supplements under the same step rules. Responsibility and personal supplements for special knowledge, functions or conditions can be agreed with the elected representatives, with deadlocks referred to the central organisations. Apprentices are paid against the skilled-worker beginner rate excluding supplements, at 40, 55 and 75 percent across the three half-years of an 18-month placement and 30, 40, 55 and 75 percent for a 24-month placement, and keep the whole training period as company and pay seniority if they stay on.
Ordinary working time is at most 37.5 hours per week across the week's first five working days, normally between 06.00 and 21.00 where agreed and otherwise 06.00 to 18.00. Call-outs after ordinary hours pay for at least two hours, and phone support outside ordinary hours pays overtime for each hour begun. Second shifts carry 25 percent of hourly pay and third shifts 40 percent. Overtime pays 50 percent for the first four hours on the week's first five working days and 100 percent thereafter, always 100 percent after 21.00, on Saturdays and days before holidays after ordinary hours, and on Sundays and holidays; the overtime base is the individual's ordinary pay excluding overtime and shift supplements. Same-day overtime of at least two hours triggers a meal or kr 114, and a shift-pattern change on under 14 days' notice triggers a one-off kr 1,500.
From 1 January 2027 employers must advance (forskuttere) sick pay and pleie- and foreldrepengerStyrke on detailed conditions: only where the worker qualifies for sick pay from the employer and NAV pays benefit after the employer period (ftrl. section 8-17(1)(a), (d) and (e))
Styrke; capped at the amount NAV refunds and at four months per calendar year including the employer period; only for employees with at least six months of continuous service; with notice no later than one month before advances stop and repayment of erroneous advances. Better firm-level schemes are not weakened. The employer must ensure each employee knows the pension provider and how to track what is paid in and the basis for it, while the local parties review the established company schemes once per tariff period and minute any discussion of changes, and draw up a dyslexia-friendly workplace action plan where either side asks.
The rules are in the 2026-2028 Laerdaloverenskomsten (avtale 197) for Laerdal Medical A/S between Næringslivets Hovedorganisasjon and Norsk Industri on one side and Landsorganisasjonen i Norge and Forbundet Styrke on the otherStyrke, which also governs duration and second-year wage negotiations.
Run the yearly local pay negotiations on the four criteria, and prepare to advance sick, nursing and parental benefits from 1 January 2027.
