The 2026-2028 collective agreement for laundry and dry-cleaning shops (Overenskomst - Vask og renserier, avtale 105) between Næringslivets Hovedorganisasjon with Norsk Industri and Landsorganisasjonen i Norge with Forbundet Styrke applies from 1 May 2026 to 30 April 2028Styrke. It covers employees in production, transport and storage, assembly and maintenance of production equipment, cleaning of production premises and guard duties, including part-time staff. The agreement can also be invoked as the tariff agreement in staffing agencies whose hired-out employees perform work within its scope, and unorganised firms bound through tiltredelses- or hengeavtale follow the sector revisions without separate bargaining.
From 1 May 2026 the hourly rates for workers over 18 are kr 247.08 for new hiresStyrke, kr 258.58 at beginner level and then kr 262.54, kr 266.52, kr 271.06 and kr 274.06 up the scale
Styrke. A new hire is a worker over 18 with under six months of branch experience who is still in in-house training, and moves to the beginner rate after six months. Other work in the firm and practice in the same work at other firms counts in full toward seniority; other relevant occupational experience counts at least 50 percent. Certified machine operators and boiler attendants receive at least kr 4.50 extra per hour, drivers at least kr 5.00 with a further kr 5.00 for lorries of at least 3,500 kg and another kr 5.00 for vehicles of at least 7,500 kg, and a relevant approved fagbrev adds kr 15.74 per hour. Workers under 18 receive at least 60 percent of the adult beginner rate after turning 16 and 75 percent after turning 17.
Ordinary working time is 37.5 hours per week, with a 5-day week and Saturdays off where production, maintenance and dispatch allow. Shift work pays kr 18.66 per hour on afternoon shifts and kr 27.98 at night; ordinary Sunday shifts add kr 59.61, and shifts over New Year, Easter, Ascension, Whitsun, 1 May, 17 May and Christmas add kr 136.28 on top of the ordinary shift rates. Overtime pays 50 percent, rising to 100 percent on Saturdays and days before holidays after ordinary hours, on Sundays and holidays until 21.00, and for hours between 21.00 and 06.00 after at least half a day already worked. Overtime ordered the same day and lasting at least two hours triggers board or kr 114 in meal money.
From 1 March 2027 employers must advance (forskuttere) sick pay and pleie- and foreldrepengerStyrke on detailed conditions: only where the worker qualifies for sick pay from the employer and NAV pays benefit after the employer period (ftrl. section 8-17(1)(a), (d) and (e)); capped at the amount NAV refunds and at four months per calendar year including the employer period; only for employees with at least six months of continuous service; with notice no later than one month before advances stop and a written repayment agreement for erroneous advances. Better firm-level schemes are not weakened by the new duty. A low-wage guarantee adjusts the section 3.1 rates from 1 May by the gap between the average laundry-industry wage per 1 October of the preceding year and 86 percent of the average industrial-worker wage at the same point.
The rules are in Overenskomst - Vask og renserier (avtale 105) 2026-2028 between NHO with Norsk Industri and LO with Forbundet Styrke, which also governs duration and second-year wage negotiations.
