Paid leave is earned and counted in jours ouvrés on a five-day week over a 1 June to 31 May reference year. Winter leave must be taken by 31 May, balances appear on the payslip, and a yearly note recalls each cut-off. Staff born abroad, foreign nationals or from overseas territories may stack two years onto the second, up to nine weeks, on written request by 31 May of year N answered within one month. A 1 May that is worked is paid double and earns a recovery day.
Birth gives the father, spouse, cohabitant or PACS partner three days on the birth day or the next working day plus statutory paternity leave, which the company tops up to fixed salary excluding variable pay. Arrival of an adopted child gives three days around the arrival plus statutory adoption leave within eight months. The employee's own marriage or PACS gives five days within six months; a child's marriage or PACS gives one day within one week, open to parents and step-parents on proof. A sick dependent child under 16 opens three unpaid days, five if the child is under one or the employee supports three or more under-16s, and the agreement pays three days where the child is 12 or younger, with no seniority condition. A dependent disabled child gives five paid days a year per child with no age limit, and the announcement of a disability, chronic illness or cancer in a child gives ten paid days at full pay around the announcement. Parents of nursery or primary pupils or sixième entrants get two splittable paid hours on the first school day, and parents aged 24 or under on 30 April get two paid days a year per dependent child. Proof is required throughout, generally within one month, five working days for a sick child and seven for an adoption.
The death of a child of any age gives fourteen working days paid around the event, extended to a dependent under 25 in the employee's care, plus an eight-day statutory mourning leave for an under-25 child that stacks with the fourteen days, splits within one year, and counts as effective time without pay cut. A spouse, partner, father or mother gives five days, siblings, parents-in-law and grandparents three, a sibling-in-law one, and travel over 500 kilometres adds two paid days. Seniority adds two paid days beyond ten years and three beyond twenty, credited automatically each January for use that year with no carryover or payout. A personal move gives one paid day every five years after one year's seniority, an employer-driven move two days. Staff aged 58 on 31 May get one senior day a year, and recognised disabled employees on the prior year-end payroll with under six months' absence get two extra days, for use within the calendar year.
The agreement runs indefinitely from the day after signatureLegifrance, with a joint management-union commission reviewing application after six months, then yearly for three years.
Legal basis: Code du travail, articles L.2261-14 and L.1224-1; Convention collective Restauration de collectivités, IDCC 1266.
Apply the unified leave scales across the six UES companies from the day after signature, credit seniority and senior days automatically, and require the standard proof for each family-event leave.
