Lovdata. The previous minimum rates were kr 270,45 and kr 241,77. A skilled worker means a worker holding a publicly approved trade certificate, DSB approval or equivalent education in the field performed; foreign trade certificates approved by NOKUT rank equally with Norwegian certificates. The rules apply to companies performing such work and the workers carrying it out, except offshore petroleum operations. Employers, and anyone managing such work on the employer's behalf, must ensure the requirements are met.
Shift work attracts compensation calculated on the minimum hourly rate: 17 per cent for two-shift work and 27,3 per cent for three-shift work. Two- or three-shift arrangements as well as fully continuous shifts may be agreed. Converting from the normal 37,5-hour week to deviating schedules uses fixed compensation rates of 2,74 per cent (36,5 hours), 5,63 per cent (35,5 hours) and 11,61 per cent (33,6 hours), calculated on the actual hourly wage for shortened working time connected with shift work. Regular shift work means continuous assignments of at least 14 days, still counting as continuous even where no work takes place on Saturday or Sunday.
Ordinary working time must not exceed 37,5 hours per week. Work beyond ordinary hours carries a supplement of 50 per cent of the § 3 hourly rate, rising to 100 per cent for hours between 21.00 and 06.00 and on Sundays and public holidays.
Where an assignment requires overnight accommodation away from home, the employer pays necessary travel expenses at the start and end of the assignment. Before sending a worker on an assignment outside their home area, the employer must agree arrangements for board and lodging; as a main rule the employer provides board and lodging, but may instead cover costs through a fixed diet rate, payment against receipts or similar. Apprentices and persons on labour-market measures fall outside the regulation. It also does not apply where the employee is already covered overall by more favourable wage and working conditions under agreement or under the law otherwise governing the employment relationship.
The new regulation no longer contains the predecessor's clause allowing Tariffnemnda to adjust the rates during the regulation's term following tariff revisions. Its geographic scope now also covers Longyearbyen and Ny-Ålesund on Svalbard.Lovdata Forskrift 21. oktober 2024 nr. 2536 om delvis allmenngjøring av Landsoverenskomsten for elektrofagene is repealed with effect from the same date.

(allmenngjøringsloven) § 5, under which Tariffnemnda made Forskrift om delvis allmenngjøring av Landsoverenskomsten for elektrofagene (FOR-2026-10-22-2233), on the basis of Landsoverenskomsten for elektrofagene 2026–2028 between Næringslivets Hovedorganisasjon and NHO Elektro on one side and Landsorganisasjonen i Norge and EL og IT Forbundet on the other.
